William Voetsch, of New Vernon, finished third this week in the Boys Division of the AJGA Junior Championship hosted by Morgan Hoffmann, August 11-14. Voetsch was in a tight race throughout the competition and missed the play-off for the top spot by one stroke. He finished at even-par 216.

Kelly Sim, of Edgewater, enjoyed the lead for most of the competition. In the final round, she shot a 4-over par 76 to find herself tied with Jackie Rogowicz. Despite battling her way through the play-off, Rogowicz took the win. Sim finished as a close second in the Girls Division.
