Elizabeth Wang (San Marino, CA) and Brad Dalke (Hobart, OK) took home wins Thursday, August 6th, as the 40th Junior PGA Champion came to a close.
Two New Jersey natives made it to the final round in their respective fields and played a strong game throughout the national tournament.
In the boys’ division, John Pak, of Scotch Plains finished the tournament in 27th place, with a total score of 296 (+12). Pak has been in the Quarterfinals at the 2015 U.S. Junior Amateur and finished in the top ten at the 2015 FJ Invitational.
In the girls’ division, Kelly Sim, of Edgewater finished the tournament tied for 25th place, with a total score of 305 (+21). Sim is the 2015 NJ State Champ and Player of the Year by NJPGA, the Record, and the Star Ledger.
Although Pak and Sim didn’t make it to the top of the tournament, it is a great honor that they were able to play and represent the Garden State in this national tournament.
