6/24/14 6:00pm – Jim McGovern (White Beeches Golf & Country Club) shot a three under 69 during the third round of the PGA Professional National Championship. McGovern had one of the lowest rounds of the entire day as the rest of the field struggled at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. At the moment, McGovern is tied for 15th.

Currently on the course, Frank Esposito (Brooklake CC) has fallen back to even par for the tournament and is tied for 7th. He bogeyed both par 3’s on the front nine.

The top 20 golfers will qualify for the PGA Championship at Valhalla in August.

Current leader, Jaime Broce (Ohio) has a three stroke lead at -5.

6/23/14 4:00pm – PGA Professional Frank Esposito (Brooklake CC) shot a 71 on day 2 to finish the day at -2 for the tournament. Esposito matched his day 1 score and enters the clubhouse currently tied for 5th. Currently Dave McNabb (Pennsylvania) and Jerry Smith (Arizona) are on top of the leaderboard at -4. Esposito was one back of the lead early on in the day, but fell back after two bogeys on his final 6 holes.

Esposito is one of 12 NJPGA golfers participating in this year’s PGA Professional National Championship currently being held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at the Dunes Golf & Beach Club.

NJ PGA Professionals Jim McGovern (White Beeches Golf & Country Club) and Brett Jones (Mountain Ridge CC) are currently at +4, and above the 36 hole cut line.

6/23/14 12:00pm – Frank Esposito (Brooklake CC) is currently one stroke behind leader David McNabb at the PGA Professional National Championship currently being held at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club & Grande Dunes Resort Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Esposito finished his first round on Sunday with a score of 71. Starting on the back nine today, an early eagle on the par-5 13th followed by the birdie on the 17th currently leaves Esposito at -4. David McNabb (Pennsylvania) shot an opening round 67 to take the lead after Sunday’s round one. He will tee off this afternoon.

The PGA Professional National Championship, is an annual tournament currently in its 46th year of existence. The tournament is being held June 22-25.  The top 20 finishers at this week’s tournament will qualify for the PGA Championship, held this year at Valhalla Golf Course in Louisville, Kentucky August 7-10.
