Home Holes-in-One Pastore Earns a Spot in the Record Books at Met Amateur Championship

The 112th Met Amateur Championship, held at The Creek, Locust Valley, N.Y.,  was for sure a memorable one for David Pastore, as he fired a hole-in-one to join a small group of Met golfers who have won both the Ike Championship and the Met Amateur in the same year.

The Greenwich, Conn., resident remained close with runner-up Matt Lowe (Farmingdale, N.Y.) throughout the day, but his hole-in-one on the 137 yard, 17th hole, the tournament’s 35th, secured Pastore a 3 & 1 victory over Lowe.

Pastore now joins a small and elite group of golfers who have won the Ike Championship and the Met Amateur in the same year. The last golfer to do so was Johnson Wagner in 2002, who has since joined the PGA Tour.
