Black Oak Golf Club in Long Valley, N.J. hosted the first ever NJPGA Senior Match Play Championship from Monday, June 15- Wednesday, June 17.  The tournament, added to the schedule for the first time in 2015, included 32 Senior PGA Professionals (16 exempt & 16 qualifiers) competing against each other in singles matches. 

Claiming the inaugural trophy and title was White Beeches Golf & Country Club Head PGA Professional Jim McGovern, who defeated the Host PGA Professional & course designer of Black Oak, David Glenz, 5 & 4 in the final match. 

So far in the 2015 season, McGovern has claimed victory locally in the NJPGA Head Pro Championship, NJPGA/NJSGA Senior Open and now the NJPGA Senior Match Play Championship.  McGovern also plans to compete on the National/European stage this summer in the PGA Professional National Championship at Philly Cricket Club, US Senior Open at Del Paso Country Club and the Senior Open Championship at Sunningdale.
