Home News Bill Britton Outlasts Brent Studer in NJ Senior PGA Professional Championship

Going into the final day of the New Jersey Senior PGA Professional Championship at North Jersey Country Club, in Wayne, with two leaders at the top of the standings, Bill Britton (Trump National- Colts Neck) pulled away late to top Brent Studer (Metedeconk National GC) by three shots.

Britton, who finished the tournament at -4, shot 1-under (70) in Wednesday’s finale, including two birdies on the 16th and 17th holes to build a three-shot lead on Studer, who shot 2-over for the day. Both Britton and Studer entered the second round at 3-under following a pair of 68s Tuesday.

Britton and Studer were the only golfers in the field of 32 qualifiers to shoot under par. Gregory Baker (Rockaway River CC) finished in third place with an even score.
